My true passion is realism. I love creating realistic paintings of foods and flowers that just pop against the dark wood stain.
Graduated from Kent State University in Ohio with a Major in Art Education and a Minor in Fine Art & Education in 2012.
Currently working full time as a Graphic Artist for Giant Eagle Market District and my side hustle is on Etsy selling my original art & designs.
I have designed the cover of the Market District December 2013 Newsletter for all their stores in PA & OH. I also, designed the logo for the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Teaching English in Poland by the Kosciuszko Foundation.
I have been full time graphic & fine artist at a grocery store similar to a Whole Foods in Cleveland, Ohio since 2013. This is truly my dream job. I am able to reclaim pallets, installation foam, plexiglass, bubble wrap, cardboard, trunks & other fun things I can find around the store. I have always been a garbage picker and collector of found objects. I love the feeling of recycling and giving a second or more life to things that I find which is why I was drawn to this place.
My original store on etsy was called Upcycle Charm which allowed me to bring what I love from my job to my side hustle business. I started creating art and signs with recycled pallets with hand painted lettering. I realized fast that everyone and their moms were creating hand lettered sign on pallets pieces using a vinyl cutter or sticker. So I decided I wanted to be different and bring my skills of painting back into my side business. I create food, floral and brand logo cut outs on the regular at my 9 to 5 job, so this was an easy transition... Or so I thought!
My transition to cut out plaques took a lot of research + trail and error with printing techniques, wood thickness and my scroll saw blades. Instagram was a great help! I was inspired by a few amazing artists. I use these food cut outs on pallet signs/plaques for a unique look, way different then everyone else! Plus my food puns win a lot of people over 😉
